Returns/Exchanges
What is the return/exchange policy?
It's an honor to fulfill your order and I aim to please, but as a small business I typically do not offer refunds or exchanges. However, if there is an outstanding case I am open to discussing an appropriate solution. Please contact me within 5 business days of receipt of your order if you are dissatisfied and we can discuss the possibility of a refund or explore other options that may fit your needs best. If the item is grossly different than the images provided in the listing or there is considerable damage I neglected to note, the item may be exchanged, refunded or you may opt to receive a store credit.

The buyer is responsible for shipping costs to and from Cheshire Ocean's place of business. All international sales are final.

Please allow 5-14 days for the exchange to be processed once it has been received on my end.

What is my order is lost or missing?
For lost or missing items, please contact me and I can assist in filing a claim with the courier service. If this is a concern, please reach out to me before or immediately after your purchase and I can help you secure shipping insurance and/or signature confirmation to best ensure you're eligible for a partial or full refund in the case of a missing or lost package. If a package is marked delivered, a refund is not possible for a missing package.

Instagram Sale Policies
What is an Instagram Live Sale?
A Live Sale is an event in which I will curate a selection of items to showcase in real time via the Instagram Live feature. I host live sales on my Instagram account @cheshireocean. You will be able to join a lobby with other viewers to see items as they are without worries of altered images. Attending Live Sales is a great way to meet other people with similar interests and learn more about the Crystal Community. In order to join and view a Live Sale on Instagram you must create or have an existing Instagram account.

To make a purchase during a Live Sale, comment with the price shown on the sticker affixed to an item. In same cases there may be a letter following the sticker (ie 24i), in which case you would comment 24i to attempt to purchase that item. Comments made with the intent to purchase are referred to as claims. When multiple people are attempting to claim the same item, the first person to appear on the comment feed on my screen will secure their purchase of the item. A claim is a commitment to purchase. All claims made during a live sale will be rolled into one invoice afterwards. Upon receipt of your invoice, payment with due within 24 hours. In the event of a high volume Live Sale processing times for invoicing may be longer.

What is are Feed and Story sales on Instagram?
Feed and Story sales are other showcasing styles in which I offer my products. A Feed Sale is very similar to how companies list products on their web pages for you to view and better see the items. On a Feed Sale I will curare a set list of items and post them directly onto my page as a listing. There you will find several images of pieces I am offering along with a video. In the description of the post I will describe the item, provide the locality of the specimen or crystal along with the price and dimensions. The first person to comment a claiming keyword (ie. me, mine, sold claim) will secure their purchase of an item.

A Story Sale is a less formal style of selling where I will post items to my Instagram Story. The story post of an item will typically be a video showcasing the piece. Somewhere in the story post there will be a box that you can tap or click on to type in your intent to claim/purchase the piece. Please view my Instagram Highlights for an example image if you are unfamiliar with this style of shopping for clarity. All sales made via the Instagram are a commitment to purchase and payment of your custom-listing will be due 24 hours of receipt.

How do I pay for my Instagram Sale claims?
After an Instagram sale, custom listings will be posted on this website.

Please allow 24-48 hours for all claims to be processed and the listings to be posted. When your claims have been processed I will send you a direct link to your listing via an Instagram Direct Message. If we have not corresponded via Instagram before you may need to check your "requests" folder for my message. You can also access your listing via the Custom Listings tab.

The title of your listing will reflect your Instagram username (i.e. @cheshireocean).

To finalize out transaction add your listing to your cart and check out. Please double-check to make sure you have only added your specific listing yo your cart. Do not pay for another person's listing. You may add other items from the Cheshire Ocean website to your cart in addition to your listing (i.e. other listed products, shipping insurance, signature release for your package etc.).

All listings must be paid within 24 hours of being posted. Failure to pay for your custom-listing within this time period will result in being blocked from future sales. If you need an accommodation please reach out to me and we can discuss your options.

Do you have payment plans available?
At the moment I am able to offer the payment plan option through shop pay. If you qualify it will allow you to choose your own payment plan. If you do not qualify you can always reach out to me via Instagram Direct Message and I may be able to offer a personal payment plan via PayPal if you are already an established customer.


What is an Open Box?
An Open Box is a service that I and many other crystal/mineral retailers offer in which you may combine several purchases made over the course of 2-4 weeks into one shipment. I will hold your purchased items and ship them all at once so you do not have to pay shipping multiple times. Please contact me if you would like an Open Box.
